"TUT" PAINT ELEVATIONS FOR ARCHWAY

Because the paint, textures and aging were so complex. I did these color renderings to show exactly what I wanted to do.

"TUT" MAIN GATE TO THEBES

This sketch lays out the concept for one of the largest sets in"TUT". From this I went into digital models and then set designs both analog and digital.

"TUT" CITY OF THEBES PLOT PLAN

I laid out a plan of the city of Thebes so that we could figure out our continuity requirements for our city. All of the main set elements were laid into this plan
(the main gate starts where the big arrow is).

"TUT" 3/4th VIEW OF THEBES

Once you have the plan all of these renderings fall into place. Since these images are VFX dependent this also gives everybody a good idea of what needs to be accomplished. In this way, the visual integrity of what was physically built is completely integrated into all of the post production work. Most of the images like this were completed in pre-production.

"TUT" VALLEY OF KINGS

I wanted to do a high wide establishing shot with some foreground for King Tuts funeral. We had a great location for this in Morocco. So I laid out he shot with stuff I had laying around the studio from other scenes .

A very simple green screen set-up---with everything worked out.

We are well into the set here--those tents are the same ones that are up on the hill in the first picture in the series.

SALEM WHARF

THE EARTH

I did about 75 of these illustrations or key frames for Richard Sylbert as his art director on a project called "WINKEN,BLYKIN AND NOD"

The story was styled with a Victorian sensibilities---It was Space as seen from a nineteenth century viewpoint. We had a lot fun together and became close friends.

THE MOON

The story is a fantasy which involves three orphans who steal a boat and travel to the moon!

This is definitly not NASA.

"RONIN" BURNING CHEATEU

I did this set up for "RONIN". This was a scene which end in a massive fire. I did this illustration to discuss with both physical and VFX how we could make this fire. The scene was later cut from the movie.

MIRV WARHEAD

This illustration was for a Frankenheimer movie at MGM called "SILO THREE-JANE". It was cast and prepped but it didn't go. We did "RONINinstead. It was a lot of hardware which I like doing.

LAUNCH AND CONTROL

This is the concept sketch I did for the launch and control center.
