SIBLEY MANSION EXTERIOR
I am going to mix some of the conceptual ideas for this project with the completed sets. This is how I think.
EXTERIOR FOREST SET
CHURCH/TOWN HALL
This set was conceived as an exterior and interior combination. I had it engineered to handle hurricane force winds as the sets were built in Louisiana.
MARY'S ALLEY
PAINT AND TEXTURE COMBINATIONS
I did these for every building and interior in the project. Every texture, color and texture specification was included. When it was over we had three volumes of specifications.
WALLPAPPER FOR SIBLEY BEDROOM
Every detail was designed for these sets right down to the wallpaper. The patterns were based on Celtic iconography.
SET PLOT PLAN
This is the overall set layout. Everything on this plan was built and planned starting with road access for the crew and the shop where the sets were built. When you build sets of this size outside you are obligated to think of numerous production concerns up to and including where the water goes when it rains.
EXTERIORS
SALEM MARKET
SALEM "COMMONS"
INTERIORS
All of these interiors were built on stage. When built, they occupied about 60,000 square feet of space.
All of the sets had to appear to be lit by candlelight and firelight and have low ceilings in order to be consistent with the types of materials the original builders had access to.
SIBLEY DINNING ROOM
SIGN DETAILS
What is a town without signs? We had a lot of them.
